Central Africa is located in the Middle part of the continent Africa. It is made up of seven countries Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo Republic - Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Gabon, Sao Tome & Principe. The region covers the equator and contains the Congo Basin, with the second largest rainforest in the world. Following the Rwanda genocide of 1994, this region is still challenged to achieve economic and political stability.

Back on the topic Central African dishes:

Going through a list of different Central African dishes gives one an idea of the culture, religion and people of Central Africa. Life is tough over there but this region of Africa comes up with some of the mouth watering dishes. Central African dishes comprise mainly of greens, meat and vegetables and different kinds of roots. Although due to Western influence burgers and pizzas have become popular in this region, still the traditional Central African dishes are something one must try while visiting the place.

They don't have food on their own?

People of Central Africa are very fond of hunting for their survival they need to hunt and this game meat is cooked as a part of their meal. Again, peanut is a major ingredient in central African dishes recipe. Let us have a look at few traditional Central African dishes. Though, they share the same food with the West Africa Region. Such like this is their favourite but if you take a close look at it; it is eaten more in West Africa especially in Nigeria.


They call  it Fufu with Okra/Okro soup with goat meat mixed with stock fish.
