Today the region is the most developed in Africa (now they look down on other African countries like Nigeria, and all thanks to the British people who were there for years). However, it suffers the highest percentage of the world's HIV/AIDS infections. Besides, the countries in the region include: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South-Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
